Conference venues and meeting facilities
For conference venues, inspecting the facilities on offer is a critical part of deciding whether to host an event at a given venue. We have selected two conference venues that have taken different approaches to this problem.
The Freemasons' Hall, Manchester has listed all its main conference rooms together with capacities and typical uses. As well as high resolution photographs of each room, the Freemasons' Hall has included brief movie clips of the main rooms.
Carrington Business Park has also listed capacities and typical usages for each room, but had opted for panoramic views were users can "swing" the image around to view a room. Although there are perspective effects introduced by the photography this is still an effective technique for giving an overall feeling for a conference room.
Example websites
Freemasons Hall
The Freemasons' Hall wanted a new web site to promote their venue. As part of this commision they also required a complete photo shoot of the rooms with mini videos. Included in the site is the ability to add events such as their annual Christmas lunch or their Summer Bridal show.
The Freemasons' Hall, is situated in the heart of the City of Manchester and the hall has one of the finest collections of banqueting and conference suites that the city is able to offer.
Carrington Business Park
Carrington Business Park provides conferencing and meeting facilities including audio-visual equipment. The conference rooms can be inspected by using a 360° panorama.
The Park is home to about 150 local, national and international companies, who between them employ around 1000 people.
The Park has everything required by today's business on-site from secretarial and office support services to conference, meeting facilities and ample free car parking.
